4 million people have been vaccinated, the rules will change from Saturday

4 million people have received at least the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine by Friday afternoon, as announced by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in a Facebook video. According to his previous statements, from Saturday:

  • the start of the night-time curfew will be modified from 11PM to midnight;
  • shops can stay open until 11PM;
  • those who possess an immunity certificate, can visit indoor areas of restaurants. Parents and family members can take their children with them;
  • people with an immunity certificate can also visit hotels and bring their children with them;
  • recreational facilities can be visited again with an immunity certificate. These institutions include zoos, wildlife parks, museums, theatres, cinemas and libraries;
  • gyms, swimming pools, and skating rinks can only be visited by people with an immunity certificate, or people under 18 in case they are training professionally;
  • those with an immunity certificate, and children (under 18) can visit sport events only under the supervision of an adult with an immunity certificate until 11PM;
  • those with an immunity certificate, and children (under 18) under the supervision of an adult with an immunity certificate will not have to wear a mask at those sport and cultural events.
